I hope you all had a wonderful Monday yesterday, they don't have to be terrible.

Two Saturday nights ago, I went on a double date. It was tons of fun! We went and got frozen yogurt (my favorite) and then played card games (also my favorite).

Two Sundays ago I got called to be a Family Search Indexer. I went over to Amanda's that night and we made dinner and watched the football game. I am so thankful that we live just a short walk from each other.

Monday was the usual craziness. We had FHE and they all ganged up against me and made me lose phase 10... but that's okay it was still a good time!

Tuesday we had forum and the speaker was really amazing. His respect for our church was remarkable and he had some amazing insights. That night was country dance club which is just always a blast. I am slowly learning and getting better.

Wednesday, I signed at the Lodges at Glenwood for housing next year so it is nice to have that stress taken away. That night we went and played five crowns so I was super excited to be playing my favorite game again.

Thursday, I realized that I had tons of tests to study for so I came home from classes, built a blanket fort and studied vigorously. When I got tired of studying, I watched Once Upon a Time which is now my new favorite show.

Friday, I took my human development test and actually got a 91% on it! Then I came home, watched more Once Upon a Time and then went over to Amanda's. We painted our nails, watched the X-Games, watched Prison Break, and then I spent the night.

Saturday, I took my chemistry test and got a 94%! I was super nervous so it was nice to have two tests off my chest with good grades. That night, I went over to Taylor's and we made brownies and watched Stardust. It was a good time even if our brownies were slightly sketch (we substituted butter for oil).

Sunday we had fast Sunday since next Sunday is stake conference. That night I went and played cards again... I've been doing that a lot lately, huh?

Yesterday was a good day. I had my usual classes. Then I went to walmart and got some food. Then I had a review session for one of my papers due next week. After that I had dance class which was super fun because we started learning the Chacha. It is a fun dance and our instructor had some awesome music. We had ward home evening so we did a service project and tied blankets for NICU babies.

Well... If I haven't lost you yet, I was reading 2 Nephi 2 this past week and it really touched me. If you have the time this week, I would challenge all you to read and study it because it really is an amazing chapter.

HELLO EVERYONE!
Ready for the weekly update?
Monday we didn't have school (obviously) but I just spent the whole day doing homework and writing that paper:/ Boring but a much needed make up day. Tuesday, I got to sleep in for a little bit. Sister Beck spoke at devotional which was pretty dece and then I raced to the library to print off my SFL paper. I even made it to class on time and we learned about conception which is just a lovely subject. That night, I had my art class which I basically love. That night was country dance club. I love dancing but it will probably be the death of me with all the flips and dips that people make me do. Very enjoyable though. Wednesday and Thursday were just your typical school days. Watched childbirth in my human development class (definitely a highlight). Friday was a beautiful day! I slept in and went to chem, which was very boring (but I worked on cleaning up my iTunes library). At dinner, these random guys asked Brooklyn and I to sit with them making for a slightly awkward but highly entertaining meal. That night we went to the men's volleyball game with Amanda. It was intensely awesome, but I was slightly distracted. I will for sure be going again though. After the game, we went over to Wren's place in heritage. We played curses--a very funny game--and watched the Swan Princess. Today we slept in and then had a small Prison Break marathon. Brooklyn is out on a date now and I'm just laying on my bed jamming to All Time Low

Coming up:

  • I'm going on a date tonight (Woohoo!)
  • Church tomorrow
  • And another fun-filled week of school
  • Oh and you can't forget the hassle of figuring out where to live next year

I love hearing from each and every one of you! Keep me updated on your lives, okay? I love you and miss you all,
Jessica

HAPPY SUNDAY!!! I hope you all have had an awesome day!

Thursday:

  • American Heritage lab: rocked my quiz, our TA now owes us ice-cream so I'm stoked, not so stoked for the two essays this semester
  • Human Development: still haven't finished that paper, worst class
  • Went to Amanda's apartment to watch prison break. Got home around midnight.
Friday:

  • Skyped with my seminary class:]
  • Finished up my laundry that I started really late on thursday night
  • Worked on my human development paper. The only way I even began to write it was by rewarding myself with an oreo dipped in peanut butter for each section that I wrote.
  • Chemistry: extremely distracted, came back in the worst mood ever, lowest point of my day
  • Date: went to the planetarium, creamery ice-cream, learned how to swing dance, they had fun flipping me (it was sooo freaky!), he played the guitar for me and piano, went to McDonalds to get fries, got home around 12:30.
Saturday:

  • Woke up around 1:00, rolled out of bed around 1:30
  • Went to the young ambassadors concert with Brooklyn (literally was like glee club), left at intermission
  • Embarrassed myself severely in the Wilk
  • Bought art supplies for my art class:]
  • Dropped my preview of nursing class
  • Went to the Malt Shoppe
  • Didn't study
  • Ate dinner in the Cannon Center
  • Worked on drawing a picture
  • Date: played curses, made a fire, roasted marshmallows and ate s'mores, laid on the ground and tried to bounce marshmallows off the ceiling and into our mouths, walked to a park and went stargazing, got home around 2:30
Sunday:
  • Went to church
  • Went to Amanda's, made some dinner
  • Fireside, was supposed to be on dating and ended up being on marraige
  • Ate cake and watched Warrior
So I think I've decided to change my major to Graphic Design but I am definitely going to pray about things. We don't have school tomorrow (hallelujah) so I'm going to crack down and finish that paper. Hopefully this week brings some fun new adventures:]

Monday was such a fun day! I had my social dance class and it was super fun! I am not a terrible dancer (though I'm not an amazing dancer either). I don't know... I just really love dancing even if I'm not good at it. Hopefully by the end of the semester I will have gained a bit more skill. Monday night was Family Home Evening. We played different relay games which turned out to be a ton of fun and I got to meet the people in the ward a bit more.

Tuesday morning I had my preview of nursing class. I am not so sure that I want to be a nurse anymore after that class. It just didn't feel right to me. So that puts me with no idea of what to major in... Right now I am considering pre-med and then going to med school and specializing in oncology. My other option is to do something like graphic design which I think would be super fun. I just don't know if I'd be good at it.

Tuesday afternoon, I spent sometime with Brooklyn (we got creamery ice-cream:]). Then I walked around campus with a friend and we went to the Museum of Art, which is super cool! I love the sketches that they have in there and how detailed people can get with a pencil. We then went on the roof of the JFSB. It was such a nice day and it was nice to be outside for a little bit.

At four, I had my intro to art class, which I am EXTREMELY excited for. I can't wait to learn a little bit more about technique. Supplies were expensive though... but I don't really mind spending $75 for art. I can't wait to see what we learn next week. I have a feeling that it is going to be my favorite class.

Tuesday night, I went to country dance club with Shawnie. They had dance instruction for the first half hour (thank goodness) and after that we could just dance. I danced with a very fine young man and he taught me all sorts of cool moves.

Today, I am really missing my seminary class. I had Book of Mormon class today (which I absolutely love) but I kept thinking about how much better it would be if my seminary class was in there with me. We would rock it.

I have been attempting to write my human development paper all day and I am only two sentences into it. It's a brutal paper, but don't worry I'll get it done by next tuesday. I've been to the library twice today, which is more than I normally go so I am feeling very accomplished.

Oh! Fun fact... my suite mate is getting married, which is both exciting and insanely scary.

Things I'm looking forward to: I'm going on a date on Friday. We are making plans to Skype with my seminary class. There is no school on Monday. Meeting new people and making new friends.

Hope everything is well with everyone! I love hearing from all of you so keep me updated:]

Well this week has been full of change! I left on monday to go to BYU and got to Provo in the afternoon. I unloaded my stuff and at first, the room seemed to small for everything to fit. However, as we began to put everything away, everything found its place and I even have some extra room! I went to Rumbis with my roommate Brooklyn, Amanda, Shawnie, Patrick, Kylie, and my mom. It was delicious! After dinner we went shopping and I got a few more things for my dorm. The first night in my dorm was hard; I couldn't fall asleep and I tossed and turned all night.

On Tuesday, I had new student orientation. Before orientation, Brooklyn and I went and got our IDs and walked around the campus so we could figure out where the different buildings were. When I found my NSO group, I sat down at a table and realized that everyone I was sitting with were returned missionaries. The BYU president spoke to us, along with a few other speakers. One thing that really stood out to me was that if we have faith then we have no need to fear. We ate lunch, and then went on a few different tours of campus. My favorite was the education in Zion tour because it really put into perspective for me the importance of education. Afterwards we had a freshman mentoring meeting and then went to this honor code thing. When the whole thing was over I was absolutely exhausted! But of corse the day wasn't over; I had to go get my HUGE stack of textbooks and then we went to dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe with Debbie's family.

Wednesday was our first day of classes. I had American Heritage, Book of Mormon, Chemistry, and Social Dance. It was overwhelming but not impossible. College is definitely not high school. I love my American Heritage and Book of Mormon teachers so far so I'm hoping that I will enjoy those classes. We went to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa that night before they get out of the MTC and go on their mission.

Thursday, I had American Heritage and Human Development. So far, Human Development seems to be my most daunting class. Brooklyn and I went on a walk and discovered this awesome place called the malt shop. That night we were going to go to Lowes Extreme Airsports but things didn't work out so we spent some time with Amanda and her roommates and then Brooklyn and I watched 500 Days of Summer and decorated our door.

On Friday I slept in till 10:30 and had Chemistry at 1:00. It was so nice to finally keep up on sleep. Chemistry was boring since our teacher basically just went over the text book reading. I spent some time studying. Brooklyn and I went to Walmart (I had to get socks since I forgot mine oops!). Then we spiced up and went to a dance at the Wilk. It started off disappointing but then got better. Everyone loved my tiger shirt haha. We met some people at the dance and went over to their place afterwards to watch a scary movie.

Saturday, we had a contest to see who could sleep in the longest. I won haha (11:30). We went to see Footloose, which is just one of the greatest movies ever. That night we went over to Amanda's to play games. It was tons of fun, we played bambi and pass the pig.

On Sunday we had church at 12:00. It was weird being not only in a new ward but in a singles ward. Everyone was super friendly though so I have a good feeling about it. We had a floor meeting at 4:30 and then went to an awesome devotional! He talked about the Holy Ghost and he had some very good insights.

Now here I am, supposed to be doing my Book of Mormon homework and instead, writing this for all of you! Hopefully this week will go good. I'm excited for my art class on tuesday. I will keep you updated:] Love you all!

Jessica
